Justin Pratt

Senior Pastor
E-mail Justin Pratt

Bro. Justin Pratt is the Senior Pastor of Valley View Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He can best be described as an enthusiastic, Bible-believing preacher with a message for this needy hour. His expositional, systematical approach to preaching the Bible has proven to be very productive in the culture in which we live.

A native to Knoxville, Tennessee and the son of a Baptist deacon and a praying mother, Bro. Justin was brought up in church his whole life. He was saved at the age of 15 years old on December 22, 1996 and totally surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of 17 at a Bible camp in Williamsburg, Kentucky. On January 21, 2001 at the age of 19, Bro. Justin surrendered his call to preach at Valley View Baptist Church. One week later he preached his first sermon in the pulpit of the church he now pastors entitled, “We Serve a Super Savior.”

After graduating from Fulton High School in the class of 1999, he attended Roane State Community College on a baseball scholarship. After a year of junior college and a year at the University of Tennessee his path was changed and he started Bible College just below Atlanta, Georgia. In the spring of 2002 Bro. Justin transferred to Crown College of the Bible and Theological Seminary. During that time Bro. Justin served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Youth Worker at Valley View Baptist under the leadership of his lifelong pastor and friend, Bro. Dewey Cooper. During this time God opened many doors of opportunity and Bro. Justin traveled near and far as a part-time evangelist.

Having been licensed and ordained by the Valley View Baptist Church in 2004, he left and became the pastor Riverview Baptist Church in Clinton, Tennessee where he served for 3 years.  God truly blessed the ministry there and the church grew under his leadership. It was in August of 2007 that Bro. Justin accepted the call to become the pastor of Valley View Baptist Church in Knoxville.

He was called to be the Senior Pastor in the early part of August 2007 and preached his first sermon as the pastor of Valley View Baptist on August 19, 2007.  His responsibilities include the preaching duties of the church, the management of the ministries offered by the church, communication and counseling with over 400 church members, planning for ministry outreach, as well as the planning of special outreach events. Bro. Pratt preaches at the main worship services each Sunday morning, Sunday night, and teaches at the Wednesday night Bible Study. Bro. Justin preaches on the radio weekly on a local radio broadcast. He travels frequently preaching youth revivals, revivals, crusades, motivational events, and other venues as they are opened by the Lord. Bro. Justin also has accreditation and is certified through the International Conference of Police Chaplains and serves as chaplain for the Knox County Sheriffs Department and the Knoxville Police Department.

Bro. Justin and his wife, Hannah, were married on August 8, 2008, their daughter Lydia was born in July 2010 and Lincoln was born in April 2014.  They reside in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Bachelor of Pastoral Theology degree from The Crown College in Powell, Tennessee in 2006.

Mike Meade

Youth Pastor

Bro. Mike Meade is our Youth Pastor here at Valley View Baptist Church. He and his wife, Kaylee, joined our church in November 2014, and Mike was brought on our church staff in August 2015. Bro. Mike has a strong passion to reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and see young people come to know Christ in a real and personal way. He grew up in Michigan in a Christian home where his family attended church regularly. The summer before fourth grade he attended church camp where God showed him his need for a Savior, and he made the decision to put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. As a teenager he answered God’s calling on his life to preach the Gospel, which led to his studies at Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN. During his studies at Crown, he met his wife, Kaylee, and they were married in May of 2014.

His role as youth pastor involves weekly Bible studies on Wednesday nights with our youth, monthly organized youth activities, fundraisers for our annual summer youth trip, and personal discipleship with our teens. Throughout the years the Lord has laid a strong burden on his heart to have an influence on young people through the teaching and directing from God’s Word. One of his desires as youth pastor is to see teenagers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ in such a way that, following high school graduation, they continue to be faithful in attending and serving at church even after facing independence as young adults.

Bachelor of Christian Education degree from Midwestern Baptist College of Lake Orion, Michigan in 2017
