Sunday Evening, January 6th, 2019 - Closer - Evangelist Brent Carr

As we begin this first full week of 2019 many people have made "New Years Resolutions." Maybe you have too. Perhaps your goals for 2019 are physical goals; to lose weight or quit smoking. Maybe they're spiritual; to read your Bible more or be more faithful in prayer.

But all Christians should have at least one goal in common this year; to draw closer to God. Psalm 73:28 says "it is good for me to draw near to God."

Have you set in your heart to draw closer to God this year? Focus on Him and draw near to Him!

Psalm 73:25-28

25Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. 26My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. 27For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. 28But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
