There is a Lad Here (John 6:5-10)

A Visiting Missionary, July 7, 2019
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Sunday Evening, July 7th, 2019 - There is a Lad Here - Bro. Michael Lambert, Missionary to Granada

Tonight we were honored to have Bro. Michael Lambert, Missionary to Granada, with us for our services. He preached on a topic that you have likely heard about before; a boy with five loaves of bread and two small fish.

There was a lad there that day that Jesus was able to use. The Master positioned that boy in exactly the right place, with exactly the right tool, and was able to use what little he had to do a mighty work. In fact, Jesus used what that boy had for even far more than what they needed. They needed food for 5,000 men (plus their families). But Jesus supplied even more than that.

There's a lad in all of us. Are you willing to give Jesus what little you have and see what He can do with it?

John 6:5-10

5When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? 10And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. (KJV)
