White as Snow (Isaiah 1:18)

This week Knoxville and all of East Tennessee was blanketed by a couple of rounds of snow. It covered yards and roads with a layer of pure, white, clean snow. It covered up the dead things, the dirty things, and makes everything look so clean and pure.

Did you know that God's Salvation is the same way? The Bible tells us that our sins are as scarlet, but they can be made white as snow. How is that possible? How can the blood of Jesus cleanse us in that way?

Perhaps you're thinking to yourself that you're too wicked for God to forgive, that you're too far gone for forgiveness. Maybe you're thinking that there's no way God would forgive and cleanse someone like you. But the Bible says that there is a promise of forgiveness for anyone of anything. You sins can be forgiven, and even forgotten!

Isaiah 1:18

18Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (KJV)
