The Belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:10-14)

Bro. Mike Meade, January 14, 2018
Part of the Preparing for Battle series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Whether you realize it or not, you walk into a battle every single day. Not only is there a daily battle for your soul, but you face a spiritual battle as a member of the Army of God every day.

But the good news is that the Lord gives us certain pieces of armor that will help us to face the battle before us.

In a new series titled Preparing for Battle, Bro. Mike Meade walks us through these pieces of armor at our disposal.

Tonight we examine the Belt of Truth. The belt is the first piece mentioned; it anchors everything together and holds everything in place. It's the foundation for the rest of the armor. All the other pieces are useless without the Belt of Armor in place.

Ephesians 6:10-14

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (KJV)
